Celebrating Wellbeing is good for your wellbeing!
Yesterday afternoon I was fortunate enough to be able to escape the confines of the office to attend the Knowsley Programme’s Target: Wellbeing celebration event in Huyton. And what a great afternoon it was!
Some of the projects had set up stands to promote their activities and all those attending were able to enjoy a good old natter (erm, I mean 'networking session') over the splendid lunch.
A packed programme of presentations then began – with the presentations from those delivering the projects very much the highlight of the day (other than the fantastic lunch!).
It’s always great to hear directly from those who are delivering the projects on the ground, and the passion and dedication of all involved really shone through. Evaluation exercises and progress monitoring forms, as important as they are, only ever tell half the story. The fact that I was blissfully unaware that the event was running late is testament to how engrossing the presentations were! It was also particularly great to hear that many of the projects will continue in some form beyond the current Target: Wellbeing funding.
So, on behalf of myself and my Target: Wellbeing colleagues, well done to Mary and Emma for organising such a successful day, big thanks to the projects that attended, and a special thanks to those beneficiaries that were able to join us.
Hope to see you all soon!
