Community Channel Community Champions

2010 marks the tenth anniversary of Community Channel, so to celebrate being on air for a decade, they’re launching Community Champions - a nationwide campaign to encourage the people of Britain to nominate those unsung heroes who’ve put something back into their communities to help make them better places for us all to live and work.

It’s three weeks since Community Champions was launched, and so far the entries are diverse and so deserving.

A panel of independent judges will select five winners from the top 20 nominees. All five will appear in a TV documentary profiling their outstanding contribution to their communities.

Nominate the person/people you think have had a significant impact on life in your community; tell us all about them and why you think they’re such a champion.

Alternatively, take a look at the gallery of inspirational stories that have already been uploaded and cast your vote. This is your chance to make a difference.

The closing date for nominations and votes is 24th October 2010.
