Get Ready For Sportivate!

As part of Sport England’s London 2012 mass participation legacy plan, "Places People Play", Sportivate aims to capture the excitement of the Olympic and Paralympic Games by providing sustainable sporting opportunities for teenagers and young adults.

The 4 year £32million national programme aims to inspire 14-25 year olds, who aren’t already doing sport in their own time, to complete 6 week taster sessions in a sport of their choice and guide them into regular participation within their own community.

Sport England has commissioned County Sport Partnerships across England to implement Sportivate; GreaterSport is currently shaping this programme following discussions with partners.

We look forward to working with a multitude of partners, including National Governing Bodies of Sport and Sport & Physical Activity Alliances to deliver fantastic opportunities across Greater Manchester.
