Manchester Alliance for Community Care is seeking applications for two new posts:-

Volunteer Centre Manager (Ref MVCM)
Manchester Volunteer Centre
£27,849 per annum, pro rata, initially this post is for a fixed term of six months until 31st March 2012.
35 hours per week.
Closing date for applications: Thursday 22nd September 2011 at 12 noon.
Interviews will be held on: Friday 14th October 2011

This is an opportunity to begin to develop and co-ordinate the work of a new Manchester Volunteer Centre. To ensure it meets the needs of volunteers and volunteer involving organisations based in the city.
The Manchester Volunteer Centre will be a major component of the City of Manchester’s infrastructure support for the Voluntary and Community Sector. The successful candidate will be based in MACC and have management responsibility for the Volunteer Centre Development Worker.

Development Worker (Ref MVCDW)
Manchester Volunteer Centre
£24,646 per annum, pro rata, initially this post is for a fixed term of six months until 31st March 2012.
35 hours per week.
Closing date for applications: Thursday 22nd September at 12 noon.
Interviews will be held on: Thursday 20th October 2011

The post will report to the Volunteer Centre Manager. The post holder will actively promote all aspects of volunteering across the City of Manchester including delivering a vibrant and responsive brokerage service for potential volunteers, volunteering organisations and identify new volunteering opportunities in the City. The Development Worker will provide a range of good practice support for organisations involving volunteers.
