Mapping the cuts: help build the true picture with VSNW
Since the launch of the Voluntary Sector Cuts project, VSNW have recorded more than £1.6 million of cuts to 32 organisations in the sector in the North West, and uncovered stories of vulnerable people and communities who will lose vital services as a result.
A cut of just £2860 has left a community group that provides a lifeline to Polish people dispersed across Bolton facing the threat of closure, while the loss of £400,000 of funding means that large numbers of disadvantaged young people in Liverpool will lose the wide-ranging benefits of supported volunteering opportunities.
We know there are more. Now is the time to speak up and make the true picture clear. Please do report any cuts affecting your group - and please circulate the details of this important national project as widely as possible within your networks.
