Description

The Pre-School Nutrition Project in Knowsley has produced a report covering the project's activities, impact and learning.

The Pre-School Nutrition Project was developed following a survey of nursery food provision by Heart of Mersey which identified a gap in the availability of nutrition training & guidance for early years staff working in nurseries, to develop, pilot and evaluate a nutrition training course and programme of support for early years caterers and staff, which in turn would benefit children and parents who attend the early years settings.

The project is part of the Knowsley Target: Wellbeing portfolio of programmes and is managed by Heart of Mersey and was funded for two years by the BIG Lottery Fund, Knowsley Health and Wellbeing Partnership and Heart of Mersey.

Target: Wellbeing updated People's Postcode Trust- Small Grants Programme (news) The People's Postcode Trust aims to make Scotland, England and Wales a better place for both people and nature and acts within the following six fields of operation: poverty prevention; advancement of health; community development; public sports; human rights; and environmental protection.

Grants range from £500 to £10,000 for those in Scotland and England and up to £5,000 for those in Wales.
