Santa's Chopper Challenge!

On Friday 2nd December a handful of crazy charity riders will leave Liverpool to ride 155 miles across England to Grimsby, in three days. A reasonable challenge you might say, however, to make things really difficult for themselves they will undertake the challenge sitting astride iconic Raleigh Choppers, dressed for the whole route in a santa suit, hat and beard!

They will be visiting Childrens Cancer Units, where Cyclists Fighting Cancer bikes have been donated, along the way.

Cyclists Fighting Cancer awards shiny new bikes, tandems and specially adapted trikes to children and young people who have been affected by cancer throughout the UK and Northern Ireland. They encourage cycling as the best form of exercise based rehabilitation for those children undergoing and recovering from cancer treatments. To encourage them further they also give bikes to their siblings and in many cases their parents in order that they can take part in an activity as a family once again after what can be years of hospitalisation and disruption. Every penny raised goes into achieving these objectives.
