Description

The Tesco Charity Trust's Community Awards scheme is inviting applications for work with older people and adults and children with disabilities.

Grants are made to charities throughout the UK, particularly to local communities close to Tesco stores. The Scheme makes one-off grants of between £1000 and £4000 to provide equipment or practical resources to local projects that support children and their education and welfare, elderly people and adults and children with disabilities.

- Improving health of staff, patients and communities through increasing access to green space on or near to NHS land.
- Greening the NHS Estates and with a target of 1 tree per employee amounting to 1.3 million trees.

As part of its commitment to supporting older people, Comic Relief is providing grants for projects that will help people 65 years and older to cope with the difficulties of the current financial environment.

Target: Wellbeing updated People's Postcode Trust- Small Grants Programme (news) The People's Postcode Trust aims to make Scotland, England and Wales a better place for both people and nature and acts within the following six fields of operation: poverty prevention; advancement of health; community development; public sports; human rights; and environmental protection.

Grants range from £500 to £10,000 for those in Scotland and England and up to £5,000 for those in Wales.
