PROJECT UPDATE 2012
- The project continues to hold two café sessions per month at different locations. In addition it has hosted additional café sessions. The themes for the sessions have covered:
•Childhood Memories exhibition & creating own childhood memory.
•Making Christmas crafts
•Creative writing session with Oldham Libraries
•Life in the cotton mills reminiscence session.
•Making Christmas crafts
•Nativity scene carvings
•evaluation with Pennine acute trust
- For the Childhood Memories session the group visited the community gallery to explore a childhood memories exhibition by local artist Kevin Haynes. The paintings showcased bygone Oldham. The exhibition was thoroughly enjoyed by all! In the second half of the session, the group then created their own drawing of a childhood memory. The group engaged really well with the activity and produced some creative pictures with a meaningful story.
