The Inspire Project
PROJECT UPDATE 2012
- Although invited to, Inspire turned down the opportunity to apply for the BIG Lottery Supporting Change and Impact funds, the reason appearing to be that the service is becoming mainstreamed by St.Helens MBC.
- In this quarter the project worked with 198 individual, through a wide variety of recovery services and normalising activities.
- Over the 4 year duration, they have supported 450+ people.
- The main event this quarter, was their Target: Wellbeing celebration, called 'Be Inspired'. This included a play by services users, called “Legging it to Spain” – a comedy farce that including false legs, gangsters, contraband and absconding abroad.
Helping substance misusers improve life skills, increase self-esteem, and help them to prepare for re-engagement within the community.
