Target: Wellbeing gave us an exciting chance to build on work already happening to increase the involvement of the Third Sector in developing and delivering initiatives to improve health and wellbeing in Knowsley. The local Programme evolved from a collaborative approach, initiated and supported by the Knowsley Health and Wellbeing Partnership.

All eight projects work well together, adding value to the Programme and to their other activities. Projects have secured match funding from a range of sources, including NHS Knowsley which allocated more than £100,000 between them over three years.

This came from a pot of funding aimed at involving the Third Sector in Knowsley at Heart, a major campaign to reduce heart disease and stroke.
