The people we help:
People aged 50+

We set up the project because:
A need was identified within the area for older people to access a counselling service which could target their needs. Project Summary: A counselling service which can offer prolonged engagements of therapy for older people. “I would have never have considered counselling. But my GP referred me to Age Concern Mid Mersey. I would have walked away if, Paul had not met me at the door. I considered counselling to be for weak people. I was desperate. The only way out for me was to take my own life. Things were that bad. Looking back counselling was the best thing that I have ever done in my life. The only way to describe it is. Paul put a rope in to my hands and my counsellor pulled me up a mountain. I have now started to be a dad again and have found a job after being unemployed for many years.” Beneficiary
