This framework contains twelve global health outcomes that constitute the UK Government’s progressive drive forward in the global health agenda over the next four years.

They are presented within three overarching areas:
- global health security
- international development
- trade

The framework builds upon the success of the cross-Government strategy for global health, Health is Global – a UK Government strategy 2008-2013, which set out government department interaction for coherent health improvements in the UK and overseas.
